In 1974, there was a coffee shop in Aichi, Japan renowned for its marvelous and intriguing curry & rice that people never get tired of, even eating every day. The shop was the starting point of “Curry House CoCo Ichibanya”.
After a number of trials, they finally came to a perfect curry sauce by their sheer persistence. Their curry sauce got great popularity in a blink. And that’s how Tokuji and Naomi’s first restaurant “Curry House CoCo Ichibanya” was born in 1978.
Coco Ichibanya is World’s largest curry chain restaurant. Backed by Mitsui Co. India, Coco Ichibanya plans to open 10 new stores in the coming few years.
